Full-Time Cleaner at Flamborough YMCA

Become a vital part of the Flamborough Family YMCA as a full-time Cleaner. This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and enhancing member satisfaction through detailed housekeeping tasks.

In this full-time position, you will work under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure all cleaning standards are met according to YMCA guidelines. Responsibilities include indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks, using various cleaning agents and equipment, and lifting objects exceeding 20 pounds. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out all assigned cleaning tasks in designated areas

• Identify effective cleaning methods and products for tasks

• Lift and move furniture to clean hard-to-reach spots

• Operate vacuums and floor polishers efficiently

• Assist with outdoor cleaning and grounds maintenance as needed

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of cleaning experience preferred

• Ability to follow safety instructions effectively

• Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration

• Flexible schedule availability for various shifts

• WHIMIS certification considered an asset
