Flamborough YMCA Full-Time Cleaning Staff

Help the Flamborough Family YMCA maintain a clean and safe environment as a Full-Time Cleaner. In this role, you will ensure that cleanliness standards are upheld across various areas of the facility.

Working alongside the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will execute comprehensive cleaning duties that promote member satisfaction. Responsibilities encompass both indoor and outdoor cleaning, proper handling of cleaning agents, and equipment operation. Flexibility to cover varying shifts, including evenings and holidays, is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete all cleaning assignments within facility spaces

• Discover and implement efficient cleaning products and techniques

• Handle heavy lifting and move furniture for thorough cleaning

• Operate and maintain cleaning tools like vacuums

• Assist with grounds keeping and exterior cleaning duties as needed

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of cleaning experience preferred in a service role

• Strong ability to understand and follow written safety protocols

• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team

• Available for flexible scheduling including holidays and weekends

• WHIMIS certification is advantageous
