The Salvation Army seeks a Janitor for its church facility and designated property. You will handle floors, washrooms, carpets, exterior upkeep, room arrangements, and event preparation. The work also includes stock ordering, security checks, safety monitoring, and reporting maintenance issues to supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:- Empty garbage and maintain interior facility cleanliness
- Set up and take down rooms for activities
- Prepare facilities for Sunday and mid-week services
- Restock washrooms and distribute received materials
- Maintain external property, including litter pickup and shed upkeep
- Secondary school completion
- Related custodial, life skills, or maintenance experience
- Ability to follow OH&S and safety procedures
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
- Capacity to work with minimal supervision
