Bakery Production Operator

We are a high-volume food manufacturing facility looking for energetic and reliable Production Team Members to join our bakery team. This is a dynamic role that offers variety, consistent hours, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Shift Schedule & Compensation

Hours:

12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).

Schedule:

Monday to Friday (Weekends off!).

Rotation:
Weekly rotation between days and nights is required.

Total Weekly

Hours:

48 hours per week.

Overtime:
Paid after 44 hours.

Requirement:
Candidates must have their own reliable transportation to ensure punctual attendance for all shifts.

Work Environment
A 24/7 manufacturing facility with temperatures ranging from 58°F to 80°F.

The environment can be loud (hearing protection provided and required).

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for executing various production tasks to maintain efficiency, workflow, and food safety standards. This role supports several key areas, including packaging, material handling, boiler operations, and tote management.

Key Responsibilities
Machine & Line Support:
Feed bagel boards into boilers, stack finished products safely, and monitor equipment temperatures.

Packaging & Logistics:
Ensure proper labeling and packaging of products; transport finished goods to storage using electric-powered pallet movers.

Material Handling:
Manage "tote" operations by ensuring correct premixes are supplied to mixers and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Quality & Safety:
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure top-tier food safety and personal protection.

Documentation:
Accurately complete production paperwork and track inventory usage.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications
Reliability:
Punctual, conscientious, and able to commit to the rotating 12-hour schedule.

Adaptability:
Able to remain level-headed in a fast-paced environment and switch between different production tasks.

Communication:
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions in English.

Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for 12 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions (bending, reaching, climbing).

Technical:
Basic computer skills are preferred. Must be willing to complete in-house training for material handling equipment.
