The Opportunity
We are seeking a licensed Millwright (433A) to support our Hannon facility. This position will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The key focus is to safely maintain the equipment/machinery and troubleshoot problems, to produce quality products per company quality policy on all three shifts. The hourly rate for this position is $43.75
Shift: Weekly rotating 8 hours shifts: 06:00 am to 02:00 PM, 02:00 PM To 10:00 PM, 10:00PM to 06:00 am
What You’ll Do
Keep downtime to shortest time possible, work as a teamVisually and physically inspect machinery and equipment, check for source of any problems that may occur from day to dayEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment completing preventative maintenanceRequired to maintain documentation in maintenance work order systemRemove defective parts, dismantle if necessary using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools. Make necessary repairs to machinery and equipment in an efficient mannerFabricate and/or repair parts using machine shop instruments and equipment, when possibleProvide mechanical maintenance information answering questions and requestsKeep all tools and equipment in a safe and operational mannerVerify that any work performed is satisfactory and completeFollow all ISO and HACCP requirements and proceduresReport all problems to your SupervisorMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
-Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi- viz vest in Shipping/warehouseMaintain parts supply as requiredFollow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedureMobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed before use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platformsReport all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occurPre-use inspection formUse Manager plus and place a work requestUse of hazard reporting formReport injury / incident to your Supervisor immediatelyMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and good housekeeping practicesAbide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the companyKeep fire equipment and exits clear all timeOther duties as assigned and requiredWhat You Bring
433A Certified Licensed Industrial Millwright Mechanic/TechnicianMinimum 1-year previous experience in a manufacturing industryExperience in paper and packaging industry an assetKnowledge of PLC’s, wiring, legislated standardsTroubleshooting skillsGood communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employeesWhat We Offer
