Job Description:
We are currently seeking a full-time certified CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector to oversee weld quality control, monitor NDE processes, and ensure strict compliance with CSA, ASME, and TSSA standards throughout our manufacturing operations.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends based on project needs.
Base wage: $45.00 - $55.00 / hour.

- Performing visual inspections on welds as per standard procedures
- Tracking quality control records
- Working with control code materials
- Assisting with the preparation of test plans and weld maps
- Monitoring ultrasonic and radiographic inspections
- Performing mechanical testing of welds
- Monitoring weld parameters during trials
- Collecting data for weld procedures to be submitted for approval
- Ensuring sign-off and quality documents are accurate and are maintained throughout the manufacturing process
- Confirming welding is performed to the approved procedures
- Issuing non-conformance reports as appropriate
- Ensuring NDE is performed in conjunction with established procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cooperative team
- Ability to ensure production follows written procedures and hold points are observed
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Organized and project-driven
- Strong multi-tasker
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and high demands
- Ability to take a leadership role where required
- Ability to make independent decisions and establish work priorities
- CWB Welding Inspector Level 2 certification required
- College level education, or equivalent work / trade experience required
- 5-7 years previous Welding Inspection experience required
- Experience with CSA, ASME, TSSA required
- Knowledge in welding power sources, stress and distortion, metallurgy, welding equipment, consumables and material specifications considered an asset
- Knowledge of PAW, GMAW, GTAW, and Hot Wire Orbital is an asset
- Other Welding or NDE certifications considered a strong asset
- Field experience is an asset
