Millwright

We are currently seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) to join a dynamic maintenance team within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of production and packaging equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems throughout the facility
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Install, modify, and upgrade production equipment as required
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid 433A Industrial Millwright License issued by Skilled Trades Ontario (mandatory)
• Experience with in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems
• Experience maintaining automated production and packaging equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation
• Welding, fabrication, and machining experience considered an asset
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

Location: Hamilton, ON

Compensation: $44/hour + Comprehensive Benefits Package + RRSP Program

Vacation: 3-Weeks Vacation + 5 Floater Days

Shift: Days/Afternoon Rotation or Straigth Afternoons
