Lead the fabrication and assembly of structural steel components as a Structural Supervisor at Duke Marine Technical Services. Utilize your steel-shop expertise to ensure efficient, safe operations on marine vessels.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily structural activities, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and safety standards. Ideal candidates boast over 7 years of hands-on experience with structural steel, solid welding knowledge, and a proven supervisory background. You will work collaboratively with Production and Project Management to manage workflows across several trades, enhancing the project’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise structural steel fabrication and installation activities
• Review engineering drawings and translate them for crews
• Coordinate with trade supervisors for work area management
• Enforce Health & Safety policies while leading toolbox talks
• Monitor schedule progress and propose solutions for delays
Requirements:
• Strong commitment to safety and proven enforcement experience
• Minimum 7+ years in structural steel fabrication or fitting
• At least 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong welding knowledge and competencies in relevant processes
• Ability to interpret engineering and CAD documentation
