Material Handler​/Commodity Specialist

Work Environment:
Team Members are expected to work year round, in both outdoor and indoor elements.
Fast paced work environment, must be able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties of Team Members are physically demanding and regularly require extended lengths of time standing, bending, walking and handling. The candidate must have a keen attention to detail and be able to regularly and repetitively lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and work regularly in the standing position. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Load and unload products and materials by hand or with basic handling equipment from customers

Operate a variety of equipment to unload and move materials

Weigh materials and goods

Organize and maintain inventory

Operate computerized inventory control systems

Identify and sort various metals

Perform general housekeeping as required.

Working toward understanding and classifying metals with integrity

Additional Skills

Provide quality customer service to each Metalogics' customer

Valid forklift certificate is an asset but not required

First Aid and CPR Certificate is an asset

WHMIS certificate is an asset
