This recruitment post is for full-time role based at our Manufacturing facility located at Ancaster, Ontario. The incumbent shall be on an Night shift schedule starting at 10:00pm until 6:30am.

Role Responsibilities:

Provides ongoing feedback and executes plant performance review cycle

Maintains communication daily with Operations Managers to assure that production issues are understood, corrective actions are followed, and production volume targets are met Completes required production reports and assures all shift paperwork is properly completed by the end of the shift

Assures the development and contribution of staff through positive leadership (I.e. Training and development, supervision, focus on continuous improvement and performance management)
Ensures all safety, quality and environmental policies, practices are understood, corrective actions are followed, and production volume targets are met Oversees and ensures proper investigation of accidents/injuries by completing proper reports, notifying the appropriate people and taking steps to prevent reoccurrence

Leads pre-shift meetings for all employees to streamline communication and drive results

Balances the shift structure by assigning responsibilities to cover absenteeism and increases in production demands

Leads the shift in efficient operation of production, packaging, and distribution of high- quality finished goods. Able to perform all plant operation functions/roles

Qualifications:

Excellent communication, analytical, leadership and interpersonal/team skills

Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to safety and process improvement, methodology and tools

Strong time management, planning & organizational skills with the ability to multi-task work and prioritize accordingly

Proficient computer skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and email (Outlook) SAP, TimekeeperWHMIS, Safety Training, Food Safety Training (HACCP / BRC)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with adaptability to change

Detailed understanding of all aspects of the Roastery processing operation an asset

Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/distribution environment preferred

Previous experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead would be an asset

Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.

Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) is required

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $38.63.This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policy / program / plan, based on individual and company performance metrics.
