About the
Role
The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer's primary function is to bridge the gap between Engineering and Operations by assisting/overseeing all larger FAT/EQT product testing, and provide support to improve the overall efficiency and quality of the product and production

Support the mechanical (and basic electrical) assembly process by interpreting approved design models/drawings and communicating the solutions to the sho
p floor.
Improve the overall efficiency of the plant assembly process, including fabrication an
d paint.
Work with lead hands in production and develop engineering solutions for production issues and design
errors.
Assist in creating and implementing engineering change request
s (ECR).Assist in improving product quality and consistency through refinements and improvements in the assembly
process.
Work with the Electrical and Mechanical assembly teams to ensure the build process's accuracy and support the Project Managers to ensure budget and timelines are pr
otected.
Support root-cause analysis and develop corrective measures with QA for issues that extend throughout the manufacturing
process.
Work with Engineering and Operations to develop methods, tools, jigs, etc., for improving the assembly
Quali
fications
College Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Technology or University Degree in Mechanical / Industrial En
gineering.
Minimum 3-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering and manufacturing experience in fabrication and working in the production en
vironment.
Able to use Solid Works, PDM, and ERP with at least two years of relevant e
xperience.
A minimum of one year of product design experience is
required.
The ability to read and interpret manufacturing
drawings.
Electrical knowledge would be considered
an asset.
Must have a valid driver's license and travel primarily in North America but potential
ly abroad.
