Position Summary

The Cleaning Technician Iis responsible forcleaningactivities in the material storage and manufacturing areas, as well as providing occasional housekeeping support. At times, the cleaning technicianmayassistwith work orders orad hoc housekeeping requests, ensuring the documentation andfacilityiscompliantfor manufacture to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

This role will report to the Cleaning Lead Hand.

Responsibilities:

• Performscleaningactivities withincleanrooms,laboratories,material storage/warehousing areas,as prioritized by scheduleorasrequired.
• Uses approved cleaning materials and tools.
• Ensures all documentationiscompletedaccording to standard operating procedures,departmental policies,andGood Documentation Practices .
• Completesalldocumentationtimelyand accurately.
• Provides support for the cleaning of production areas,when required.
• Assistsandcompletesall appointed preventative/predictivemaintenanceprograms within the allowed time frame,when assigned.
• Monitors inventory of cleaning materials and consumables,andreportswhenitems need to be ordered.
• Identifies deficiencies andreportsdeviationsimmediately.
• Completes work orders or special requests for housekeeping or cleaning activities.
• Follows all departmental and company proceduresworksin a safe manner,andreportsanyproblems or violations of company policies and procedures to the Cleaning

• Informs the Cleaning Lead  Handregardingworkload andtheability to execute assigned tasks properly and accurately while ensuring the cleaning activities achieve the targeted goals. If goals cannot be met,promptly reports the status to the Cleaning
  
  Lead Hand.
• Assistsin the organization ofspecial events, including general meetings or other events,as required.
• Performs quality work with little or no supervision.
• Conforms all relevant departmental and company standard operating procedures to the principles of GMP.
• Maintainsa clear line of communication withthe

  Lead Hand at all times.
• Providesrecommendationsregardingsystem improvements.
• Assists others within the Operation steam,when required.
• Works in a safe mannerand collaborates as a team member to achieve all outcomes.
• All other relevant duties,as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experienceinanindustrial/commercialcleaningoroperations capacity in abiopharma/pharmaceutical GMP environment.
• Minimum grade 12 education,or equivalent.
• General knowledge of cleanroomoperations.
• General knowledgeofbuildingoperations.
• General Knowledge ofcleaningequipmentoperations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
