This recruitment post is for full-time role based at our Manufacturing facility located at Ancaster, Ontario. The incumbent shall be on an afternoon shift schedule starting at 2:00pm until 10:30pm.
Reporting to the Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in production, warehouse and common office areas for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and orderly appearance.
Qualifications
· Ability to safety operate a forklift, tow motor truck, overhead work lift or lift truck cage
· Strong attention to detail
· Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is essential
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and freely lift, bend, reach on a continual basis Responsibilities
· Periodically clean overhead structures and equipment, following established cleaning guidelines.
· Move pallets from warehouse area to be cleaned and return in proper location after sweeping and mopping the floor.
· Pre-clean, dry clean and/or wet clean equipment following established cleaning guidelines.
· Maintain change rooms and break room in a clean and orderly manner.
· Operate high pressure cleaning and drum cleaning area.
· Ensure there is no foreign material on any surface in the production and warehouse areas.
· Transport production waste material, recyclable solid waste and general plant trash.
Keep the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner daily
Acts as a point of contact for third party companies who provide waste disposal and pest control services.
Keep entrances clear of snow during the winter.
Bring all safety issues, concerns and violations immediately to a supervisor’s attention.
Assist in monitoring compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices in the plant.
Assist with the packaging line as well as other duties as required

Compensation:
Starting hourly rate of $26.73 with progressive increases over 3 years to current top rate of $32.02 (not including applicable premium(s).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policy / program / plan, based on individual and company performance metrics.
