Facility Operator

Position: Full Time Facility Operator
GFL Environmental seeks a dedicated Facility Operator for the afternoon shift in Hamilton, ON. This full-time role involves managing hazardous waste and completing essential production reports.

As a key member of the operations team, you will report to the Operations Supervisor, handle bulk hazardous waste, and maintain production documentation. You will engage in physical labor, requiring the ability to lift containers and work under varying weather conditions. Your contributions will be crucial in achieving daily production goals effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bulk and consolidate household hazardous waste materials

• Lift and manage containers up to 20L in size

• Complete essential production reports and paperwork

• Participate in company training sessions

• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required

• Forklift License is advantageous

• Experience with chemicals and in industrial settings is beneficial

• Basic literacy for identifying waste labels

• Reliability in transportation to work location
