Role Description

The CNC Machinist role is a full-time, on-site position located in Hamilton, ON. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Daily responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and materials, performing machining operations such as milling and turning, and monitoring machine performance. The role involves inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, making adjustments to programs or setups as needed, and documenting work performed.

The CNC Machinist will collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules, maintain a clean and safe work area, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Machine Operation, including setup, adjustment, tooling and inspection.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including dimensional inspection and tolerance verification.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CNC programs.
  • Relevant technical training or certification in machining, manufacturing, or a related field, with minimum three years of experience.
  • Programming experience is crucial (G code and/or Mastercam)
  • Commitment to workplace safety, adherence to procedures, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
