Take on a pivotal role as a Steel Fabrication Supervisor at Ontario Shipyards in Hamilton, ON. Your expertise will drive shipbuilding projects while ensuring safety and quality standards.
As the Steel Supervisor, you will oversee the fabrication and installation of structural steel components in a vibrant shipyard environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, this full-time role demands 7+ years of industry experience and strong hands-on leadership abilities. You will drive daily production goals while managing compliance with maritime standards, making a significant impact on our operations in Hamilton and St.
Catharines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain strict safety compliance on all operations
• Supervise and guide welding and metal operations
• Operate cutting and shaping machinery effectively
• Organize daily safety meetings and hazard inspections
• Collaborate with supervisory teams on project updates
Requirements:
• Valid CWB Certification is required
• 7+ years of steel fabrication experience
• 3+ years in a supervisory role
• Red Seal Trade Certification is advantageous
• Physically fit to work in rugged environments
