Job Description  Job Overview:
Hourly wage of $33.87  The plant mechanics job is to carry out repairs, prefab work, and preventative maintenance and repair assessment. The responsibilities encompass the entire plant site.

Job Responsibilities   Operate under direction of plant supervision.
Perform repairs to structural and non-structural equipment around the MR Plant and assist with non-mechanical duties such as welding repairs.
Follow lockout procedures and ensure the work area is safe and free of debris.
Ensure that all guards are in place in the immediate work area and inspect equipment for damage or leaks and report accordingly.
Maintain maintenance supply inventories.
Assist the plant personnel when needed (i.e. short-staffed on production).
Ensure the work area is clean and tidy and the inventory storage area is organized and be responsible for ensuring all tools and parts that you use get put away.
Report any dust emissions as well as all fluid spills or leaks from any equipment or the MR plant.
Assist mill service vehicles when required – they have top priority.
Maintain any required welding or trade certificates in good standing.
Know, understand and follow plant, torch, equipment, or other lockout procedures. Each equipment unit now has an individual lockout procedure that must be followed.
When needed or requested, communicate with suppliers regarding part ordering for quote purposes or fulfillment of part orders.
Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Welding experience with relevant tickets.
Industrial mechanic experience.
