Position: Packager – Part-Time / Casual
On behalf of our client in Hamilton, ON, Winston Brock Recruitment is seeking a dependable General Labourer / Packager to support their manufacturing and packaging operations.

About the Role

Working as part of the production team, the General Labourer / Packager will primarily assist with the packaging of finished coaster products, while also providing general labour and production support throughout the facility.

In this role, you will receive:

• Pay: $17.95 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Approximately 3 shifts per week, Monday through Thursday
• Hours:
  
  4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Part-time/casual:
  The specific days worked may vary from week to week based on production requirements
• A hands-on role with an established manufacturing company
• On-the-job training — previous manufacturing experience is not required

Your Day-to-Day will include:

• Package finished coaster products according to production and customer requirements.
• Count, sort, inspect, stack, wrap, box, and label finished products.
• Check packaged products for quality or packaging issues.
• Prepare boxes, packaging materials, labels, and other supplies required for production.
• Move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products within the production area.
• Assist production employees with basic general labour tasks as required.
• Help maintain clean and organized production, packaging, equipment, and storage areas.
• Sweep work areas and assist with waste and recycling.
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor to support production and operational requirements.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

• Previous packaging or manufacturing experience is a definite asset, but not mandatory.
• Reliable and able to consistently attend scheduled shifts.
• Hardworking, with a positive attitude.
• Flexible and willing to assist with different tasks as production needs change.
• Good attention to detail, particularly when counting, inspecting, and packaging products.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
