As a Wound Care Nurse Specialist, you will be providing comprehensive and specialized wound care and consultation for our clients to ensure they receive the highest quality healthcare they need and deserve in the comfort and safety of their homes.
Nursing care will be delivered with compassion, excellence and responsiveness, in the comfort and safety of their specific care setting.
You are the wound care consultant and subject matter expert for your community. With our efficient work schedules, you will be focused more on care time and less travel time.

Education & Certification
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RPN)
- Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (CNO)
- Certification as Nurse Specialized in AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Skin Wellness Associate Nurse (SWAN)
- International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC)
Experience
- Min. 1–2 years of current nursing experience in a community setting providing wound care consultation
- Previous experience in the development of wound care management programs in the hospital or community setting is an asset
Other Requirements
- Valid G2 or G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel within the Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions
- Updated Immunization Records (including current negative TB), Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector check upon hire
- Current CPR certification required
