Emergency Department RPN

Position: Emergency Department RPN Role
Join St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Emergency Department. Support patient health through skilled nursing care and collaboration within a dedicated team.

In this full-time role at the Charlton Campus, the RPN will manage nursing care for clients needing supportive treatment. This position involves covering various shifts and working closely with RNs in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal applicant will have demonstrated their commitment to patient care and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic and preventative nursing care

• Work alongside Registered Nurses for safe patient management

• Monitor client needs and escalate care as required

• Accurately document patient care activities and outcomes

• Facilitate transfers and lifting tasks for client mobility

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required

• Practical Nursing Diploma and IV administration skills

• Two years of nursing experience in acute care preferred

• BCLS/HCP certification must be current

• Knowledgeable in elder care and skilled in communication
