St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton is seeking a compassionate Registered Practical Nurse for a full-time role in the General Internal Medicine program. Enjoy a rewarding nursing experience while floating between multiple GIM units.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will deliver essential nursing care to improve the health of diverse patients. This position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on both acute and chronic care. You will adjust to program needs by floating across different units, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety at every turn.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer nursing interventions for patients with manageable conditions
• Identify and address changes in acuity and complexity
• Work closely with RNs for coordinated patient care
• Engage in therapeutic and preventive care strategies
• Uphold nursing standards and ethics in practice
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Practical Nursing Diploma with IV administration training
• At least 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience
• Valid BCLS/HCP certification
• Competence in basic computer operations
