Infusion Services Registered Practical Nurse

Praesentia Health Care is seeking a Casual Registered Practical Nurse specializing in Infusion Services in Hamilton, ON. Provide vital intravenous therapy and compassionate care to patients in this key role.

Join our team as a Casual Infusion Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Praesentia Health Care’s Hamilton clinic. This position requires the ability to independently administer IV iron therapy and oversee innovative infusion programs as we expand. Your expertise in patient assessment, strong communication skills, and proficiency in IV initiation will be crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer intravenous iron therapy based on physician orders

• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions during treatments

• Prepare and administer necessary pre-medications and emergency meds

• Educate patients on infusion processes and side effects

• Maintain clinic readiness and documentation through EMR

Requirements:

• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Yearly CPR certification and RPNAO membership

• Experience in IV therapy or related nursing fields

• Strong organizational and computer skills

• Compassionate approach to patient care
