Become an integral team member as an Experienced Practical Nurse at Good Shepherd's Emmanuel House Hospice in Hamilton. Provide exceptional end-of-life care and support to patients and families in a nurturing environment.
Good Shepherd seeks a Registered Practical Nurse dedicated to enhancing dignity in palliative care settings. In this role, you will contribute to the holistic care model at Emmanuel House, working closely with an interdisciplinary team. Your abilities in clinical assessment and pain management will be essential in making a profound impact on patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patient needs and develop care plans
• Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team for patient care
• Provide comprehensive symptom management strategies
• Support and guide families through the hospice process
• Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school
• Good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS certification required
• Palliative care experience valued
• Strong communication and detail-oriented approach
