Registered Practical Nurse; RPN

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Working under the direction of the physician, the ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care within our family practice clinic. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including seniors and children.

The RPN will play a vital role in promoting health, managing symptoms, and supporting patients and their families.

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections
• Monitor patient conditions, document progress using Telus PS Suite EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, medication usage, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies while maintaining a safe environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical practices and technologies

• Valid registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the appropriate licensing body
• Prior experience in a family practice clinic preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience working with diverse populations including seniors and children is preferred
• Familiarity with Telus PS Suite electronic health record systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning

Pay: $30.00 per hour
