Become a pivotal Registered Nurse who delivers personalized, culturally safe care to Elders in a nurturing community. Enhance each resident's quality of life through effective nursing services.
As the Registered Nurse, you will report to the Director of Care and focus on person-centered assessments, care planning, and overall resident wellness. You will play a role in fostering collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure a holistic approach to care, while also being an advocate for the dignity and cultural needs of every individual served. Your insights will be critical in supporting family engagement and professional mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored care plans
• Promote an environment respecting Indigenous values and cultural practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to nursing standards, regulations, and policies
• Document effectively and maintain open lines of communication
Requirements:
• Must be an RN registered in good standing with appropriate bodies
• Have at least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in long-term care
• Received foundational nursing education and effective BLS certification
• Possess a valid BC Driver’s License
• Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining effective communication
