Part Time Registered Practical Nurse

Provide compassionate care as a Part Time Registered Practical Nurse eph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Join a dedicated interprofessional team in our Thoracic Surgery Unit, where patient-focused healing is our mission.

This position is part of the acute surgical Chest Unit in Hamilton, responsible for caring for a variety of surgical patients. You will leverage your nursing skills within a collaborative environment, addressing the needs of patients undergoing diverse surgical procedures. Experience in acute surgical or medical nursing is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care in thoracic surgery and medical units.

• Administer IV medications and perform venipuncture.

• Collaborate with teams for optimum patient outcomes.

• Complete orientation and necessary training courses.

• Foster effective communication and interpersonal relationships.

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

• Practical Nursing Diploma with IV medication training.

• Minimum one year of acute surgical nursing experience.

• BCLS/HCP certification is required.

• Experience in thoracic and head and neck surgery preferred.
