As a Registered Nurse within VON’s Visiting Nursing program, you will leverage your specialized knowledge in wound assessments and ostomy care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans that promote healing and improve clients' quality of life. The role emphasizes ongoing professional development while addressing community health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and ostomy care
• Implement personalized care plans with clients and families
• Educate clients on health management and treatment options
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during care delivery
• Mentor and support other care providers and students
Requirements:
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Ontario
• Completion of NSWOCC WOC-EP program preferred
• Minimum three years in community or acute care
• Experience in wound and ostomy management
• Strong communication skills for effective client engagement
