Registered Practical Nurse in Addiction Services

Join the Womankind Addiction Service as a Registered Practical Nurse, supporting women in Hamilton West through their recovery process. This full-time role emphasizes compassionate care and effective communication.

As an RPN, you will provide nursing assessments, administer medications, and assist in crisis management for clients undergoing substance use treatment.

Your role is crucial in ensuring a supportive environment while adhering to policies and protocols established by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual assessments and document findings

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols

• Manage and dispense client medications accurately

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal care

• Implement therapeutic communication strategies with patients

Requirements:

• Valid RPN registration in Ontario

• Experience in an addictions or mental health setting preferred

• Completion of WHMIS and Occupational Health training

• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act essential

• Commitment to ongoing professional development
