This part-time, temporary role in the Acute Psychiatry 9 Tower is for a compassionate RPN with essential skills in psychiatric nursing. You’ll collaborate within an inter-professional team, providing quality therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing complex mental health issues.
Your role is crucial in assessing, planning, and delivering effective treatment while fostering a stigma-free environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe, evidence-based care for complex psychiatric patients
• Conduct assessments and document treatment plans
• Collaborate with an inter-professional team
• Support the integration of patients into the community
• Model professionalism and engage in ongoing education
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 2-3 years acute mental health experience
• Certificate in CPR and psychiatric nursing program enrollment
• Knowledge of Recovery Models of Care
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
