Lead professional nursing care at Caroline Place Retirement Residence in Hamilton, using resident assessment and wellness team leadership daily.
This permanent, full-time Director of Care role directs care for residents throughout the home. You will support the wellness team, assess resident needs, and plan, implement, and evaluate care. Collaboration includes management, physicians, residents, families, and external care providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct professional nursing care for all residents
- Lead and support the wellness team
- Assess resident health status and care needs
- Plan, implement, and evaluate resident care
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and external providers
- Current Ontario nursing registration in good standing
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Minimum five years nursing experience
- Three or more years supervising or managing preferred
- Strong English communication, leadership, and customer service skills
