This regular part-time RPN position supports the Computed Tomography CT department within Diagnostic Services. You will prepare and monitor patients, assist physicians, technologists, and radiologists, and coordinate procedures. The work requires recent general nursing experience, sterile technique, IV starts, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and monitor patients during imaging procedures
- Report allergies, reactions, and patient concerns to radiologists
- Perform IV injections, venipuncture, and prescribed interventions
- Educate patients about contrasts, fasting, and procedural instructions
- Prepare trays, carts, supplies, oxygen, and suction equipment
- Current Ontario RPN registration in good standing
- Practical Nursing Diploma with IV administration curriculum evidence
- Five years recent general nursing experience
- CPR, BCLS, IV injection, and contrast media certificates
- Strong sterile technique, IV starts, and communication skills
Support Charlton Campus CT patients through skilled nursing care, IV interventions, patient education, and coordinated diagnostic imaging procedures.
