Transitional Care Practical Nurse

Support patients in transitional care as a Registered Practical Nurse with West Parry Sound Health Centre. This permanent part-time position includes all shifts and weekends.
The Registered Practical Nurse administers direct care within the College of Nurses of Ontario license. You will also maintain, clean, and assemble equipment and facilities, while working cooperatively with other health team members. The role serves an integrated health care organization with acute care, transitional care, and inpatient rehabilitation programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct nursing care within professional licensing scope
- Ensure proper equipment and facility maintenance
- Clean and assemble clinical equipment appropriately
- Collaborate with other health team members
- Maintain professional nursing practice standards
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Successful completion of an approved RPN program
- Previous experience using required nursing skills
- Medication administration, medical asepsis, catheterization, and IV education
- Knowledge of healthcare computer applications and related software
