Maple Leaf Foods is looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to strengthen their safety protocols at the Heritage Plant. This position involves developing and administering health and safety policies, training, and compliance with legislation. Your proactive approach will significantly impact reducing workplace incidents and improving safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive Safe Work Procedures for staff

• Monitor OHS documentation and present metrics to stakeholders

• Conduct safety training for employees and management

• Implement behavioral risk assessments and audits

• Oversee compliance for contractor safety programs

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years in Health and Safety

• Proficient in Microsoft programs and data analysis

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with labor and environmental regulations

• Background in WSIB claims is a bonus
