Stantec is hiring an Archaeology Field Supervisor starting March 2026 in Ontario. This role focuses on leading field teams and conducting archaeological assessments with Indigenous engagement.
The position, based in Hamilton/Stoney Creek, involves supervising fieldwork, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and maintaining high-quality data during excavations. You'll work collaboratively with project managers while motivating your team to meet productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise field teams across Ontario
• Perform and oversee archaeological assessments and mitigations
• Collaborate with Indigenous communities for respectful integration
• Adapt to shifting project demands and personnel needs
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or related field
• At least one year of supervisory field experience
• Proficient in MCM Standards and digital tools
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Willingness to undertake rigorous physical tasks
