Experience the thrill of fieldwork as a Field Laborer in Archaeology with Stantec, based in Hamilton, Ontario. Engage in vital excavation and site documentation during the 2026 season.
Our Environmental Services team is recruiting Field Technicians for the upcoming archaeology season, starting April-May 2026. You’ll participate in extensive outdoor labor, archaeological excavations, and artifact handling. This role requires travel across Ontario and may involve overnight work depending on project demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Under licensed archaeologists, carry out various field activities
• Execute site excavation and monitor quality
• Document sites and collect artifacts accurately
• Follow Stantec's safety and environmental protocols
• Build partnerships with Indigenous communities
Requirements:
• Must have experience with strenuous outdoor work
• Availability for travel across Ontario
• Preferred:
Full G driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to work well both independently and in teams
• Willingness to learn and adapt
