Seasonal Field Technicians

Join Stantec’s Environmental Services team as a Seasonal Field Technician in Hamilton, Ontario. Ideal candidates will tackle physically demanding outdoor archaeological tasks while promoting safety and collaboration.

We’re seeking dedicated individuals to support our archaeology group during the anticipated 2026 field season. This role involves traveling across Ontario, conducting archaeological excavations, and documenting sites under the guidance of licensed archaeologists. Ideal applicants should be ready for varied weather conditions at diverse sites, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Stage 2-4 archaeological fieldwork and surveys

• Excavate archaeological sites meticulously

• Collect artifacts and document findings accurately

• Uphold occupational health and safety standards

• Collaborate with Indigenous communities respectfully

Requirements:

• Previous experience in physically demanding outdoor labor

• Willingness to travel within Ontario for various durations

• Valid G driver’s license preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Open to learning new skills and techniques
