Position: Lead Archaeological Field Supervisor Role
Manage archaeological field teams as a Field Supervisor. Oversee assessments, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to preserving Ontario’s diverse archaeological heritage.

This role involves supervising teams and executing fieldwork using advanced methodologies in archaeology. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high-quality standards while working collaboratively with technical advisors and Indigenous partners. This dynamic position offers significant responsibilities during a busy archaeological field season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and lead excavation and survey operations

• Supervise archaeological technicians and field data collection

• Ensure adherence to MCM guidelines

• Maintain relationships with Indigenous communities

• Support in the development of technical methods

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or relevant discipline

• Over one year of supervisory experience preferred

• Familiarity with archaeological resources and artifacts

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail
