As part of the Environmental Services team, you will perform physically demanding tasks such as excavation and artifact collection. This role requires travel within Ontario and may involve overnight stays. Candidates will work closely with licensed archaeologists, contributing to projects that support community and cultural heritage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Stage 2-4 archaeological fieldwork
• Execute test pit and pedestrian surveys
• Assist with excavation and documentation
• Maintain compliance with safety practices
• Develop partnerships with Indigenous communities
Requirements:
• Experience in outdoor labor and fieldwork
• Willingness to travel and work away from home
• Valid G driver’s license is a plus
• Strong teamwork and independent working skills
• Eagerness to learn new methodologies
