Fibracast Ltd. is hiring a Membrane Scientist in Hannon, ON, for leading-edge membrane technology research. Focus on optimizing membrane performance for challenging wastewater treatment environments.
In this dynamic full-time role, you will conduct hands-on research in ultrafiltration and microfiltration, collaborate with engineering teams, and troubleshoot performance issues. Your responsibilities will also include preparing technical reports and supporting product commercialization efforts while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Optimize formulas for polymer dopes and coatings
• Perform structural and chemical assessment of membranes
• Analyze data for experimental design and documentation
• Collaborate with QA and manufacturing for validation
• Lead innovative research initiatives in membrane technology
Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of polymer science and chemistry
• Experience in membrane casting and lab-scale fabrication
• Knowledge of gas-separation applications is an asset
• Proficient in analyzing complex datasets
• Commitment to safety and quality standards in the lab
