Develop dairy products onsite in Hamilton using food science, formulation development, and commercialization expertise across laboratory and plant-scale activities.
As a Research Scientist, Product Development, you will lead assigned projects from concept through commercialization readiness. Apply dairy science, ingredient functionality, sensory evaluation, processing knowledge, and analytical methods. Your work supports product platforms, scale-up, validation, technical solutions, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead product development projects through commercialization readiness
- Develop and optimize dairy product formulations
- Plan laboratory, pilot, and plant-scale experiments
- Analyze trial data and recommend technical solutions
- Support scale-up and validation with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in food or dairy science
- Three years’ relevant food industry experience
- Knowledge of dairy ingredients and manufacturing processes
- Experience with product characterization methods preferred
- Valid Ontario driving license and access to a car
