The Customer Service Specialist is essential to the success of our Automotive branches. The Customer Service Specialist works closely with our customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our Automotive Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. The Customer Service Specialist is also expected to promptly resolve customer concerns and ensure maximum
client satisfaction. The Customer Service Specialist is also responsible for receiving and preparing orders and safely moving, loading, and delivering products.
The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Automotive Branch #9012 located at 400 Parkdale Avenue, Hamilton, ON L8H 5Y2.Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)Load and unload products from deliveriesOperate all material handling, tinting, mixing, and testing equipment in a safe mannerOperate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, hand trucks/pallet jacks, carts, etc.Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and servicesProcess sales transactions in the POS accurately and consistently with policies and proceduresCommunicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkersKeep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilizationFollow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulationsEnsure that the stockroom is organizedComply with inventory control procedures and assist with bi-annual inventory reviewComplete Monthly and Quarterly Safety TrainingAssist with the Physical Inventory Process, which is conducted semi-annuallyAssist in promoting sales specials and initiatives* Based on business needs, keyholder responsibilities include completing Branch Opening and end-of-day procedures and making nightly bank depositsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employmentMust have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s LicenseMust be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasionMust have at least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or salesPreferred Qualifications:Have at least one (1) year of work experience in a Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch, or in the Automotive IndustryHave at least two (2) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or salesHave at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacuum hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts,Have a High School diploma or a Certificate of Adult Education Completion (CAEC)
