Job DescriptionABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a medical device manufacturer/specialty distributor located in Canada, supplying critical care and surgical solutions to hospitals nationwide. The organization is focused on expanding its footprint in Ontario by hiring field-based sales professionals who can win new business, increase product adoption, and build strong relationships across hospital systems. This is a field-heavy role designed for someone living in the Greater Hamilton-Burlington area who prefers being in hospitals, not behind a desk.
PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new opportunities within hospital accounts.
- Expand existing business through increased product utilization and cross‑selling initiatives.
- Spend most of your time in the field calling on clinicians and decision‑makers.
- Build relationships across multiple hospital departments, including ICU, Emergency, Pharmacy, NICU, Procurement, Biomedical, and Surgical teams.
- Deliver product education, demonstrations, and consultative support to clinical staff.
- Partner with internal teams to align on opportunities and customer needs.
- Manage administrative requirements, including reporting, expense tracking, and pipeline updates.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education & Training- College or university diploma, ideally in Science, Business, or a related field.
- Clinical background (e.g., respiratory therapy) is considered an asset.
- 2+ years of experience selling medical devices to hospitals.
- Proven track record of prospecting and closing new business.
- Demonstrated success in managing a defined territory independently.
- Strong hunter mentality with a focus on building new relationships and closing deals.
- Comfortable engaging multiple stakeholders across clinical and administrative functions.
- Fast learner with the ability to absorb product and clinical knowledge quickly.
- A professional presence with the confidence to walk into a hospital and initiate a business‑related conversation.
- Organized with pipeline management and CRM discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple products and competing priorities.
- Self‑motivated and accountable for territory performance.
- Competitive base salary ($80,000-$85,000) with results‑based incentives.
