Role
We are looking for a National Accounts Manager to help Collective Arts continue to scale our national accounts pipeline across North America. In this role you will sell the full Collective Arts portfolio across beer, cocktails, non alc and functional beverages. You will build strong chain partnerships and develop national account strategies that grow distribution, increase visibility and deliver profitable sales.
Reporting to the VP, Sales, you will work with the Commercial Leadership team to lead customer planning, negotiations and overall sales execution. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our Marketing/Brand, Finance, Supply Chain and Key Account teams while taking ownership of account performance, forecasting and customer commitments.
A typical day as a National Accounts Manager at Collective Arts
- Identify and pursue new national account opportunities across North America
- Present the Collective Arts portfolio during customer meetings, portfolio reviews and account performance reviews.
- Work with Marketing and Supply Chain to build individual customer sales strategies and growth plans that align with Collective Arts commercial priorities
- Negotiate new listings, pricing, promotional opportunities and commercial agreements.
- Use data, insights, and business performance analysis to identify opportunities and drive fact-based decisions
- Strengthen relationships with key retail and chain customers.
- Review account performance and build forecasts for assigned accounts
- National Account Management & Relationship Building (35%): Build and strengthen relationships with key retail, and chain customers across North America. Lead customer meetings, portfolio reviews and account performance reviews.
- New Business & Portfolio Growth (25%): Identify and pursue new national account opportunities. Grow distribution and visibility across the entire Collective Arts portfolio through new listings and portfolio innovation.
- Customer Strategy & Commercial Planning (20%): Work with Commercial Leadership, Marketing/Brand, Finance, Supply Chain and Key Accounts to develop customer-specific sales strategies, promotional plans and growth opportunities.
- Negotiations & Sales Execution (10%): Negotiate pricing, listings, promotions and commercial agreements while ensuring customer commitments and programs are executed effectively.
- Forecasting, Reporting & Insights (10%): Review account performance, develop accurate forecasts and use sales data, market insights and promotional results to guide decisions and identify opportunities.
- A bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, a related field or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of experience managing national or enterprise-level accounts.
- Experience in the alcoholic beverage or consumer packaged goods industry is preferred.
- Established relationships with retail, or chain-account buyers is a must
- Strong commercial, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Comfortable using sales data and insights to develop account plans and make decisions.
- Experience using Excel, Canva and Google Suite is considered an asset
- Able to manage multiple customer priorities and work effectively across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain.
- Located in Southern Ontario and able to travel across Canada and the United States as required (no more than 15% of time).
