West Egg Security is looking for Mobile Patrol Guards who provide a highly visible, security guard service to various properties in a professional, competent and courteous manner. The primary responsibility of the Mobile Patrol Guard is to ensure a safe and secure environment for the protection of people, property and assets through access control and emergency response through patrol of the property.

Mobile Patrol Guard will interact with security guards on site and foot patrol each designated location. Mobile Patrol Guards are required to comply with all company and client policies, procedures and directives. Mobile Patrol Guards must instill a strong sense of safety and security amongst visitors and staff while providing a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.

• Providing Mobile Security Guard Services, at building at a vehicle depo, responding to emergency, security and law enforcement calls, maintaining the utmost confidentiality at all times.
• Patrolling assigned areas. Observing, investigating and acting on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, theft and malfunction or interruption of utilities.
• Act as an ambassador of the client site by providing customer service, responding to guest inquiries.
• Informing the designated authorities in the event of security, fire or health emergencies. Activating fire alarm and safety systems and assisting in evacuation procedures. Escorting designated authorities, police, fire, ambulance personnel to emergency locations.
• Screening unauthorized persons/staff and escorts or physically removing persons found trespassing, engaging in criminal acts or breaching the policies.
• Recording and maintaining log books of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences and issuance of equipment to staff.
• Conducting investigations, preparing incident reports, and conducting follow up investigations.
• Providing security for protocol functions, demonstrations and special events.
• Performing duties such as open-up and lock-down procedures, and security/life safety equipment inspections and foot patrol.
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the client contact or WES

• Must hold a valid security guard license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Correctional Services;
• Must have a valid G license
• Must have a clean drivers abstract
• Must be able to work weekdays and weekends and overnights
• Must have experience in Mobile Security, security systems and their functions
• Strong working knowledge of various security hardware, software, keying and systems
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Must be able to direct site guards on procedure and conduct
• Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes, WHMIS
• Ability to operate and maintain computerized state of the art security equipment and possess strong computer skills
• Ability to react and resolve emergency and crisis situations in a proper manner
• Can demonstrate ability in preparing and maintaining clear, concise, and legible security reports and detailed records
• Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills, including conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making, situational assessment and communication skills
