Position Title: Security Professional
Position Location: Hamilton, ON
Pay Rate: $19.71 per hour
Status: Part-time
Shift: Monday to Fridays; (16:00 - 21:00)
OverviewAllied Universal is currently hiring a Security Professional in Hamilton, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in security.
Requirements- Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 24 hours per week.
- Must be comfortable standing for the entire shift.
- Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
- Valid ON Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate is a must.
- Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
- Experience with report writing and note-taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property.
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities.
- Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies.
- Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation.
