Security Guard - Spare

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well‐being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients, including uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by‑law enforcement and identification services.

• Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured.
• Monitor CCTV cameras.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients.
• Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment.
• Maintain effective communication.
• Respond to alarms and calls for assistance.
• Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols.
• Perform other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor.

• MUST hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• MUST hold a valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate.
• MUST have the ability to obtain a Reliability (Level I) Security clearance (resident in Canada for 5 years or longer, clean criminal record, clean credit history).
• Ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client.
• High attention to detail.
• Customer service orientation.

• Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.00 per hour and up based on assignment.

  Various (Flexible availability).

  Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, Oakville.
