Our Client is a multi-line steel distributor based in Hamilton, Ontario, catering to the food, chemical, steel fabrication, and architectural industries for over 40 years.
With continued success and growth, we are recruiting for a 433A Maintenance Millwright.
Responsibilities- Adjusts, builds, repairs, and overhauls all equipment and fixtures within our facilities.
- Ensures all guarding, E stops and safety mechanisms are functioning properly.
- Troubleshoots equipment using knowledge and experience to determine necessary repairs.
- Oversees work performed by contractors on site as required.
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and lubrication of equipment.
- Assists in training machine operators on the proper utilization of equipment.
- Maintains a stock of maintenance supplies and necessary parts to ensure minimal down time.
- Keeps records of all maintenance performed using in house software.
- Provides after hours service as required to maintain production.
- Adheres to all Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- 4+ Years experience as a Millwright 433A in an industrial setting.
- 5+ Years experience working in an ISO environment.
- Electrical and mechanical ability to troubleshoot and ensure repairs of equipment.
- Ability to operate basic shop tools, grinders, presses and welders as required.
- Certified and trained to operate Forklift and Combi-Lift Equipment.
- A self motivator with the ability to set priorities and handle multiple job responsibilities.
- Professional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact professionally with employees and subcontractors.
