Apply your CWB certification and pipe-fitting expertise as a Raisebore Welder supporting Thyssen Mining’s underground Ontario project. Work rotational shifts underground.
Thyssen Mining seeks experienced Raisebore Welders for a borehole casing project. You will prepare, fit, and weld six-inch Schedule 120 carbon-steel casing and spool connections. The work requires approved welding procedures, ASME B31.3, CWB standards, and careful quality documentation. You will support a casing installation crew under changing underground conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Fit, align, and weld carbon-steel casing sections
- Complete CJP butt welds under approved procedures
- Prepare pipe ends through cutting and beveling
- Interpret drawings, welding symbols, specifications, and weld maps
- Inspect welds, repair defects, and maintain records
- Valid CWB Welder Certification
- Carbon-steel pressure-piping fitting and butt-welding experience
- Ability to meet visual inspection and NDE requirements
- Technical drawing and quality-documentation reading skills
- Ability to work 11.5-hour rotational shifts in Ontario
