Be part of Good Shepherd’s mission as a Youth Support Worker at Notre Dame House. This role centers on providing critical support and life skills education to homeless youth between 16-21 years.
In your role, you will implement strength-based programs, conduct assessments, and support clients in their journeys towards self-determination. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will create meaningful opportunities for youth to thrive in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver crisis prevention and intervention services
• Assist in planning and executing supportive programming
• Teach life skills, including cooking and hygiene
• Connect clients to external community services
• Maintain compliance with occupational health standards
Requirements:
• Education in social services or related disciplines
• Experience engaging with youth in a supportive setting
• Understanding of residential treatment frameworks
• CPR certification requirement or willingness to certify
• Advocacy for anti-racism and anti-oppression initiatives
