YWCA Service Coordinator Position

Join YWCA Hamilton as a Service Coordinator, assisting women and gender-diverse individuals facing homelessness. This role focuses on support services within a dynamic, flexible schedule.

As a Service Coordinator, you'll provide essential support including crisis intervention, advocacy, and case management for marginalized communities.

Your role involves collaborating with various community partners to facilitate access to necessary resources while adhering to a trauma-informed approach in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the needs of women accessing services

• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support

• Liaise with community housing and health services

• Maintain confidentiality and document client interactions

• Prepare program areas and handle general housekeeping

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education in Social Services

• Experience with marginalized communities and crisis management

• Strong knowledge of the local social housing landscape

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
